AcroType is an interactive installation where visitors can see themselves composed from numerous cut-outs on a video screen. Thousands of programmed and animated ants carry bits and pieces of the live video image and constantly recompose this video feed bit by bit. Visitors watch themselves appearing and disappearing as the laborious ants assemble steadily their portraits. Similar to leaf-cutter ants, these artificial animals get never tired to create and recomposed the human portraits.
