Develop

Based on your scenario from the day before this phase is characterized by three iterative loops. Start with developing a first prototype of your concept. Evaluate your prototype with future users. Refine your prototype according to the feedback you gained through your tests.

Prototype

Develop a lo-fi mockup of your new communication tool and/or service. Mockups could be built with paper and cardboard (if needed in combination with an embedded smartphone)

  • Start again with a poster sketch specifying your communication mechanism etc.
  • Prototype the details of your main scenario
  • Name your prototype…
  • Mocking it up (for smartphone-embedded mockups use popapp or invisionapp)

Evaluate

Use your prototype to filter different aspects of your concept idea: material, appearance, interaction, functions etc.

Refine

Refine your prototype based on the insights gained through your tests.
