Interface Cultures Guestlecture Series

Akiko Takahashi • From Computer to Knitting

We kickstart the new semester’s guest-lecture series with Japanese artist, designer, and programmer Akiko Takahashi. Originally from Tokyo, Akiko lives and works in Germany. With a background in computer science, she became interested in the art field after receiving funding for her first artwork, “Dancing Information,” and having exhibited it at Ars Electronica Festival in 2010.

01.03.23 | 13:00–14:00| Interface Cultures Lecture Room

During the lecture, Akiko will introduce her practice, from data visualization in public spaces to designing a gardening product, and give insight into her new ‘knitting+programming’ project.
